Bio Information

I have studied Studio Art at Monroe Community College.  I received an Associate in Arts Degree from Empire State College.  My early work was devoted to oil painting. I have made a life-long commitment to the study and exploration of art in various media. Through the Memorial Art Gallery, Visual Studies Workshop and working with local painters such as Patricia Tribastone and Christine Wara, I continue to challenge myself and grow as an artist.
My main focus over the past several years is in my work with pastels. It is in this medium that I feel I have found my true home.  I am passionate about the medium of pastels and subjects that reflect heart and spirit, especially the luminescence, inspiration and energy that comes from nature and animals.
I have shown my work at local cafes and bookstores.  My work was also displayed as part of an exhibition at Nazareth College. I have completed commissioned work for a local small business owner and a private client. I have a piece in the permanent collection of the Sketchbook Project at the Brooklyn Art Museum.

In November 2012, I joined Main Street Artists. It is such a gift to work with this a group of dedicated artists, all committed to expanding our creative vision.
