Christine Norris
Christine has wanted to be an artist as long as she can remember. From the day she received her first box of Crayola crayons (64colors!) she was off and running. She now paints with pastels and oils because there are even more colors.
She took the long and scenic route to get here but, is proud to say that she is a practicing artist. She belongs to this wonderful group of artists that share a space in the Hungerford building in Rochester NY. The Main Street Artists has been a support system and learning engine over the last few years. She has had formal teachers like Bill Stephens and Sari Gaby and has taken workshops with artists like Rob Liberace, Katherine Stone and Corey Pitkin. She feels, though, that over the years most of her learning has happened in that studio space with her fellow artists, teachers all.
She is a signature member of the Rochester Art Club and a member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA). She has shown at The Gallery at High Falls, My Sister’s Gallery, Mill Art Center and the Chatham Creative Center. She has recently spent more time painting than exhibiting. She can live without exhibiting but not without painting.
